Retained Search

Ashley Bowler & Company generally utilizes a retained basis where, for an agreed upon fee, we will conduct an exclusive search. The process is usually rigorous resulting in a shortlist of between three to ten names being presented before interviews commence.

A retained recruitment assignment begins once the client gives a concise and full briefing of the position to the recruitment firm.  Our approach is to work closely with the client, using an agreed methodology, to find the best person for the job.

This technique is often used by companies looking to fill a middle management, or senior position when confidentiality is important and the need for dedicated focus on a successful outcome.

Contingency Search

Your organization pays a fee only if a candidate is successfully placed.  This search method allows for the utilization of multiple recruiting firms, which can speed up the process; however, it can also create a lower level of service commitment due the non-exclusive nature of the model.  Additionally, you must field calls and resume submissions from multiple recruiters.

When utilizing the contingency search approach, the key to choosing the right firm is knowing that is has a strong understanding and awareness of the accounting and financial industries.  It is imperative that the firm has a solid grasp of the marketplace.
