Role Position
company is on the search for a talented Investment Accountant! Reporting directly to our Director, Investment Accounting, you'll manage reporting to Clients, including account reconciliation and preparation of customized reports.

What You'll Do Day-To-Day
Bring and develop subject matter expertise to guide the business on the proper accounting treatment in assigned areas.
Manage daily cash reconciliation of portfolios to the appropriate custodian bank or prime broker.
Perform monthly account reconciliation of domestic and international equities and complex derivatives based portfolios to the appropriate custodian bank or broker.
Maintain accounting for portfolios on SimCorp Dimension portfolio accounting system.
Resolve trading and settlement disputes by communicating with trading support personnel as well as counterparty contacts when needed.
Prepare monthly and/or quarterly reports sent to clients.
Analyze benchmark activity and market activity such as corporate actions, mergers and acquisitions.
Manage requests of Marketing Group such as reporting needs, while ensuring that client needs are handled on a timely basis.
Plan for scale, constantly looking to enhance and improve our portfolio accounting systems or workflows.
Assigned project work.
File archiving.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of financial accounting experience.
Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to communicate complex scenarios and topics to team and supervisors in a clear, logical manner.
Strong analytical skills, a detailed orientation, and strong appreciation for accuracy.
At ease when working with large volumes of data.
Familiarity with investment industry and financial instruments helpful.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bloomberg. Working knowledge of SimCorp Dimension would be helpful but not required.
